A breath of fresh air
A glove on his dashboard
Her heart on her sleeve
Her mother always warned her
But she was young and still naive
Those 'friends' she'd gone to be with
All had other things in mind
Oh how cruel the world can be
To one so innocently kind
Following their footsteps
Never the one to take the lead
Plenty came to use her
Souls of cruel intent indeed
But years would be her savior
And in time she saw the light
No longer cowering on her knees
Now she stands her ground to fight!
The past had left her scarred so long
For so long she had felt close to death
But her future gave her second wind
And she draws strength from every breath
Abuse of any kind can leave a scar but its the strength to rise above that can carry you far~
